DRYER VENTS

Another question that arose at the Annual Meeting was the replacement of the dryer vent covers and the effectiveness of the vent itself.  Please refer to your dryer documents regarding the number of feet of vent piping that is appropriate for your appliance.  Dryer vent covers and parts are available at the usual hardware outlets (Home Depot, Lowe's, etc.) If you have need of replacing all or part of your vent, please know that it is a co-owner responsibility.  Proper maintenance will avoid the hazards of birds' nests, other small animals invading the vent pipe and fire hazards from lint accumulation.
