Postal Union Workers-Food For The Hungry

Postal Workers Union has asked us to post info on the blog as follows:
Letter carriers are collecting "Food for the Hungry" on Saturday May 11th, 2019, this will be the 27th year that carriers nationwide will be participating in this collection.  Please place any non-perishable food donations by your mailbox on Saturday, May 11th. Your carrier will pick it up. Food collected is given to the local Salvation Army.

Vistas Coffee Social

Vistas Coffee Social is next Saturday, March 16th,  9 a.m. to 11 a.m.  at the clubhouse.  All owners are welcome and encouraged to attend.  This is a good time to get out of the house and get to know your new neighbors.  Looking forward to seeing you there.

Coffe Social Saturday, October 28th

The Social Committee would like to invite you to a Coffee Social on Saturday, October 28 from 9 a.m to 11 a.m. at the Vistas Clubhouse.  

Please join us for coffee, juice, pastries, fruit and conversation with your neighbors....old and new!

May be a perfect opportunity to offer a ride or to reach out to neighbors that may not be too active.  All residents are welcome!    Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Vistas Coffee Social at the Clubhouse

The first Coffee Social of 2016 will be held on Saturday, February 13th from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.  Complimentary Coffee, Tea, Donuts, Bagels, Coffee Cake, Fruit, etc. will be provided by the Social Committee.  Please join us in welcoming Community Relations Officer, Patty Esselink from Canton Police Department as our guest.

2015 Vistas Christmas Party a Huge Success!

The Annual Christmas Party was a great success.  The tasty fare was prepared by:  Fat Chef Catering, Canton.   Musical entertainment was provided by:  Jim Kelly who also led the crowd in a round of Christmas Carols.  Delightful desserts were donated by:  Herriman and Associates.  Many, many, many gloves, hats, mittens, socks, were donated by the attendees; then donated to two (2) local charities.  Refreshments and spirits were provided by the Social Committee Members:  Beverly Udvardy, Chris Meath,  Dianne Neihengen,  Dolores Westemeier, Mary Grady, Maureen Trainor, Rita Morris and Jan Losi.  Kudos to Lynne Coker for orchestrating the gift exchange.  Kudos to the Social Committee Members for organizing such a successful event.  Looking forward to next year’s party.

Well, we finally made it to summer! Plenty of water has made our lawns green and the sun has made our flowers bloom!  I hope everyone is having a wonderful, safe, enjoyable time. Just a few updates this last time I'll be the blog creator!

Those with a key pad outside their garage door may not know there is a battery inside. There are a lot of different garage door openers, too many to list here. But if you search the web, using your favorite browser, you'll be able to locate your make and model. Include your brand name, garage, wireless, keypad, battery, replacement.

Big thanks to Bill Neihengen for helping me assist one of our neighbors recently when there was a small home maintenance issue that she couldn't handle.  Between the two of us, we had the tools and in 20 minutes had the task accomplishe; with the added bonus of meeting a new friend!  Great day all the way around!

The first prayer group was held last week and attendance was great!  We received lots of input for our intentions book, so are off to a good start.  The next group is at my house, Christine Meath, July 20. If you'd like a few minutes to socialize, feel free to come at 7:00 p.m. Our prayer intentions are from 7:30-8:00.  My address is 47722 VCS.

We also are going to have our first, bi-annual meeting of the Sunshine Committee at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11 at the Clubhouse.  We will discuss our Mission Statement :) and document an outline of what we would like to accomplish as the Sunshine Committee.  We would welcome all attendees.  As light refreshments will be served, please let me know - Christine Meath (christinemeath@gmail.com) if you will be able to make it!
