It appears that our summer - and possibly fall - is over! This was one of the most beautiful falls we've had in recent histories, hopefully setting the stage for a winter that is loved by all; temperate (50's), with a dusting of snow around the holidays just to make everything look sparkling white??

As we all get ready for the winter, the Board is getting ready to make a special delivery to each co-owner this Saturday. We will be delivering a 10 lb bucket of Ice Melt sometime during the afternoon. I believe we will be leaving it on your front porch for ease of use if and when any ice begins to form on porch or steps.

Brinkman will be managing our snow and ice removal services again this year; with the commitment of a dedicated crew of their direct employees.  The Board met with Brinkman to discuss this coming years winter services and clarified services as well as opened the lines of direct communication.

There has been discussion regarding the relevance of having an Emergency Plan specific to Vistas Circle I.  This could be as simple as a phone chain ensuring everyone is advised of tainted water or a gas leak, or something more extensive assisting with assistance or evacuation in the instance of severe weather.  Is this required? What are your thoughts?  Christine Meath (myself) has agreed to gather input from our members, and either move forward forming a committee and putting together a plan, or determining no need for our community.  Please feel free to forward your input to me at christinemeath@gmail.com. 

The Board completed our Fall grounds inspections last weekend, Herriman will send letters to co-owners for any areas that may need some attention.  One item that was common is the need for replacement of dryer vent covers.  We just replaced ours and I wanted to let you know that A.C.E. hardware in Plymouth (Ann Arbor Rd and Sheldon)  has a model that required my husband to make only a small snip with scissors for a good fit. It was $5.49, ACE vent hood replacement, brown 4".  Hope this might help some of you that also have to replace the vent cover!
