Yes - we have created an email specific to the Sunshine Committee - this should make it easier for all our co-owners to let us know if we can be of assistance. A new co-owner, an illness, a phone call, help with Christmas decorating or just a friendly voice. The point being, we are a community within a community, here to help. Our numbers may be small but our hearts our big. So feel free to communicate with us via the email - vcpsunshine@gmail.com. Let us know if you would like to join us.
Good Afternoon Neighbors!
By now you have all discovered your salt (actually ice melt) delivery - a big thank you to Tom Zapalski for coordinating the purchase and delivery, as well as using his truck to haul the salt! Since we are prepared, this should mean we have no icy weather all winter, right? If anyone requires assistance applying your ice melt please let the Sunshine Committee know at vcpsunshine@gmail.com!

DECK COMMITTEE UPDATE
The Board of Directors would also like to thank the deck committee of John Crandall, Bill Neihengen, Glen Coker, George Holder, Barbra Smyth, Mel Bader and Tom Robertson. Chaired by Tom Zapalski they came up with a solution to the multiple colors that our decks are being painted and/ or stained.
As of July 1, 2016 the following rules will be in place for all decks without exception:
>> Cottonwood#SL3040 by Sherwin Williams, must be used if you are painting your deck
>> TWP 100 Cedartone stain must be used if you stain your deck (Home Depot and Lowe's stock the stain in their stores, if you decide to have a professional do it for you most people use "Restore a Deck" company 248-482-0150, these decks should be refreshed every 3 years.)
>>Trex TIKI TORCH color (or material matching this color) must be used for all composite decks installed. As per policy, ALL composite decks require an AltMod be submitted with color sample. The color match must be approved by the Board of Directors.
