Summer Updates August 2014

Its hard to believe that we are closing out the Summer of 2014 already! What a beautiful summer it has been! 

Please review the following for very pertinent updates.

WORK TO BE COMPLETED:    
PATH PAVING
August 18

Path paving / sealing will begin on Monday, August 18.  As you may have noticed they are doing the preparation now as the weather has been so perfect.  The project will prevent the use of the path for a few days until project completion.   

WORK TO BE COMPLETED:     
ROAD PAVING     
August 26th, 28th  Sept 2nd, 4th

Plans and PrecautionsVistas of Central Park awarded a contract to T&M Asphalt Paving, Inc. to fill the cracks in the asphalt road followed by a finish seal coating. The crack-fill has been completed. The seal coating is scheduled to be done in four phases beginning August 26th, weather permitting.If the road by your unit is being seal coated and you will need access to your car on that date

PLEASE PLAN IN ADVANCE. You will not be able to drive on the new seal coated surface for 24 hours. Driving on the seal coat will ruin the finish, the material will stick to your tires and mare the driveway and garage concrete. Be careful not to track the material into your home. Removal from flooring is very difficult.Please follow the directions of traffic control personnel or posted signs. Please adhere to restrictions imposed by barricades. Parking will be permitted on the street but NOT near work areas. Do not block access for work trucks. The asphalt seal coating must set for at least 24 hours before use. 

See map for seal-coat project dates scheduled.  (You will receive a mailing of the map and it is attached to the email advising of a blog posting - still trying to attach to our blog :) The dates are weather dependant, adding one day for each day of rain (no work on weekends). YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DRIVE on the indicated roads on these days. You will need to walk to your units during this time. No parking or driving on lawns or over curbs will be permitted.

Lawn Maintenance & Irrigation -The Association’s lawn maintenance contractor and the irrigation contractor have been notified of this work. The irrigation has been shut off and will remain off while the work is being performed. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT THE ASPHALT STAY AS DRY AS POSSIBLE.

Mail Delivery and Trash Pickup - Mail service and trash pickup may be affected. Mail service may be interrupted during the project. If mail is unable to be delivered on scheduled day, our mail carrier has advised they will deliver the next scheduled day /or/ we may pick up our mail that day at the post office.

Reminder - 

Please slow down and practice safety first when driving through our community! There is no doubt that traffic speeds have increased driving down Vistas Circle N & S, as well as Central Park. The worst scenario imaginable would be an accident involving one our neighbors (or their families, friends, or pets).
