The Sunshine Committee will be holding a meetings on Monday, March 17. There will be two times to attend if you are interested; 11:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the clubhouse.
While the group certainly is social, we would like to determine how to best support our association when a need arises, without infringing.. . .
*Should Sunshine Committee remain the name of this Circle?
* Send cards, flowers for get well purposes or to celebrate milestones?
* Support our neighbors spiritually, if desired, and again without infringing.
*Should we participate in activities that support needs outside of our Association?
Some things are automatic, that we all do individually - send cards for illness/ births/ deaths, check on neighbors when the winter weather is subzero forever, offer food when a death occurs, bring in neighbors mail or recycle containers when its snowy or icy, or just share a cup of coffee. Should we expand on this as a community? A friendship circle that helps each other if there is no family nearby or if its just a need for a quick run to CVS? How do we learn of a need? Cards are sent, newcomers are greeted - but its challenging to know when people move in - information sharing is the key.
By sharing some ideas and information we can come up with an outline for a fresh beginning.
Light refreshments will be served. Please feel free to contact me with questions. christinemeath@gmail.com
