Here we are - 2014! It has certainly started off with plenty of exciting weather.  Thank you Brinkman and Herriman Associates for co-ordinating our snow removal! It was quite a job, and I for one felt sorry for the men out there so late at night, but it certainly was wonderful being able to walk outside. Job well done!

Good news also - we have passed the shortest day of the year - December 21 - so hang in there everyone, spring is on it's way. If you are starting to feel confined, remember to check out all the activities up at the Summit.  The Sr. Center has action all day long, every day!! You can sit and play cards, or you can learn to play pickle ball, and we can get our own league going on our tennis courts this summer! Canton has amazing resources, check it our on-line or in person, it is worth the time.

Just a reminder that all Christmas decorations should be removed by January 31 - weather permitting.  If you need any help, please send an email off to Helene at Herriman, and she will work with the Board and Sunshine Committee to assist you.

The Social Committee and Sunshine Committee are working on planning some gatherings to break up this long winter season.  Another Coffee Social, the now famous Beer & Beef dinner, and a new activity - a "sewing fest", making pillowcase dresses to send to children in Africa (supporting the Canton Sr. Center) - are all in the planning stages.  More details will follow.  Don't forget to contact us if you have interest in joining the planning groups for the Social and Sunshine Committee's.
