Message from Brightview - Heavy Snow Expected

The BrightView snow team assembled for a storm planning meeting yesterday. This storm will require much patience considering it will be a long and heavy snow event.

WEATHER ALERT

Major, multi day winter storm to affect the region Wednesday through Friday morning... Large winter storm will spread clouds into the area today, with possible showers by late in the day. Precipitation tonight will be mainly in the form of rain, with some wet snow mixing in after midnight. May go to mainly wet snow by daybreak, with most of the accumulation in grassy areas. Snow will quickly pick up on intensity after daybreak tomorrow and will continue, heavy at times, through Wednesday evening. With temperatures close to freezing, the snow will be a heavy weight, wetter snow. Difficult to move. Accumulations of 4-8" of this heavy wet snow expected by sunset. Temperatures will quickly fall below freezing after sunset, causing this wet snow to freeze on the pavement. Snow will tend to diminish after midnight. Snow won't be done, though, as another wave will set off more snow showers Thursday into daybreak Friday. This will be a lighter weight, drier snow
