A Note From President Reid Regarding Mulch

 Hi all,

We all are concerned that the mulch coverage didn’t reach the back beds like we had hoped. We are considering additional mulch if the cost isn’t excessive. It should be noted that we’ve taken steps to improve our landscaping this year, including changing over to Wagenschutz for fertilization, weed/insect control, grub control and will be core aerating the soil next week.  All this in an effort to improve our lawn. We also had Brightview perform dormant pruning, all of which stressed the grounds budget.

I would like to clear up some statements and complaints from our co-owners regarding this issue.  We have never mulched every year, the Rules clearly state mulch currently will be applied every other year. Even that could change.  Some condo complex quit mulching altogether or do so sporadically. 

If you would like to influence these decisions and other matters affecting the budget, you should be aware the Board has openings which we need to fill this year, likely in July when we can have an annual meeting.
