Water and Sewer Bills move to Bi-Monthly Billing in May

Good Morning,

Starting in May, Canton’s Water Billing Department will switch from quarterly billing to bi-monthly billing (every other month) on all water and sewer accounts. Canton has a total of 24,442 accounts that are broken up into the following four ledgers (also refer to attached map);

Ledger 0 - includes all apartments, business and industrial buildings located in Canton.

Ledger 1 – includes all residential addresses south of Palmer Road.
Ledger 2 – Includes all residential addresses north of Ford Road.
Ledger 3 – Includes all residential addresses south of Ford Road and north of Palmer Road.

If you live in Ledger 1, you will receive your last quarterly water and sewer bill in April with a May 29 due date. You will then receive your first bi-monthly bill in early May which will be due June 5. Due to the transition from quarterly to bi-monthly, this is a one-time change in the billing dates. After May, all Ledger 1 customers will receive their bills on odd months (January, March, May, July, September and November). IMPORTANT REMINDER: All Ledger 1 customers will receive back-to-back bills. Your last quarterly (water usage) bill will be sent in April and your first bi-monthly will be sent in May. You will have a due date of May 29 for your quarterly and one week later you will have the bimonthly due date June 5, with the transition from quarterly to bi-monthly this is a one-time change in your billing dates.

If you live in Ledger 2, you will receive your last quarterly (water usage) bill in early June with a June 26 due date. Starting in June, all Ledger 2 customers will receive their bills on even months (February, April, June, August, October, and December).

If you live in Ledger 3, you will receive your last quarterly (water usage) bill in May with a due date May 29th, your first bi-monthly bill in early July with a July 31 due date. Starting in July, all Ledger 3 customers will receive their bills on odd months (January, March, May, July, September and November).

Please note, all bi-monthly bills will be due three weeks from the billing dates listed.
