Several co-owners run the risk of violating not only the Association bylaws but the requirements of the Canton Fire Department for annual fire alarm inspections. These inspections were to be done in January and each co-owner received notification and instructions regarding scheduling. An additional date, February 6, has been set aside for those who still need inspections. Please contact Sandra at 888/412-5356 to schedule your appointment. Security Consulting Services, Inc. will perform the inspection, but they do NOT inspect or change batteries in smoke alarms. If you cannot be home to open your unit, please ask a neighbor or relative to do so. Many people did this in January and it worked quite well. If you do not have anyone to do this for you on Februay 6, please contact Herriman and make arrangements. There will be a fee (approximately $85) charged to any co-owner who does not complete the required inspection on that date, as the Association cannot be expected to pay the penalties charged.
In the future, when the annual inspection letters are received, please be sure to contact Herriman if you feel there is a need for special arrangements for your appointment. To avoid unnecessary costs next year, there will be no "make-up" date.
