LANDSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS
Due to budget issues, there is no funding available at this time to replace shrubs and trees beyond what has already been approved. But many co-owners have already done beautiful landscape changes on their own. All you need to do is submit an alteration/modification form, complete with a diagram of the space and names of shrubs and/or trees which you plan to use, and receive approval. Then you can proceed to remove and replace those items. Many of the front beds were over-planted by the developer to make the landscape seem complete. Unfortunately, the original shrubs/spreaders have grown much larger and are not acceptable to some co-owners. Shrubs will be pruned in the fall, with a plan to cut them back drastically where that has been requested. As a reminder, it may seem tedious to do an alt/mod for planting or replacing shrubs and trees; however, this is a condominium community and as such, none of us actually "owns" any land outside our walls. So.... ANYTHING we do to the exterior needs to be approved in advance. In addition to abiding by our Bylaws and Rules, we all want to keep our community attractive, and we must remember that we hire people to maintain the outdoor areas and continuity helps keep costs down.
