CANTON RIVER DAY EVENT

Saturday, June 2 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. is the time to join in the Rouge River clean-up project, done annually.  Crews will meet at Flodin Park (Saltz Rd. at Morton Taylor).  This is a great volunteer opportunity for homeowners associations, families and other groups to help the community and the environment.  Removal of debris, planting and other earth-friendly activities are included in the day's plans.  If you're interested, 394-5150 is the number to call for more information.  Since our neighborhood doesn't have a stream to clean, the Canton Township Engineering Department would be happy to provide options for anyone interested in giving future generations a clean Rouge River!  If you'd like to organize a neighborhood event, please let Marnie know at marnie.mail@comcast.net and she can put people in touch with one another.
