GARAGE DOOR SPRINGS

As our homes age, some neighbors have had to replace their garage door springs.  The failure of springs cannot be prevented.  The more you use the door, the quicker the springs wear out, as they're rated for the number of compressions.  One thing you can do to maintain your door function is to oil the roller bearings once per year, with a little (as in minimal) amount of WD-40 or similar oil.  We will post the name of door companies that have done good work on repairs and replacements as that information comes available.
