I understand that Purple Heart and Goodwill no longer pick up furniture.

I work with a charity that assists homeless Vets find jobs and become independent.

The organization is Michigan Veterans Foundation. MVF is located in the shadow of the Masonic Temple in Detroit on Park St.

They have needs for items you use in your daily lives, from toiletries to bed sheets, and from underwear to shoes. They even appreciate items that show more than a little wear.

Female Vets are housed in a different facility. There needs are just as great.
