A Message from Former Secretary, Margaret Mittleman

Co-owners:

I was not able to attend the 2022 Annual Meeting because of the illness of my dear husband, Mark.    Therefore, I did not have the opportunity to say how honored I was to serve on the Board of Directors for several years; and it was time for new blood on the Board.  I have confidence that our new Board will serve our community well.

The Board has decided that the Blog is no longer necessary; and that it would be a duplication of what can be found on the BLS Management website.   Also, BLS can notify all co-owners via email and US postal service regarding matters in our community.

I mentioned to President Dunmore that, if needed, I would be happy to take up the gauntlet of maintaining the Vistas of Central Park Blog.   Until such time...

I Remain Respectfully Yours,

Margaret A Mittleman

Hello Everyone,

Canton seeks applicants to serve on Master Plan Advisory Board.

Canton’s Planning Services Division is in the process of updating Canton’s Comprehensive Master Plan and are looking for interested residents, property owners, and business owners to serve on the Master Plan Advisory Board. The Master Plan is a long-range policy document that guides the community for the next 10 – 20 years.

The update is expected to take 12 – 18 months with Advisory Board members asked to participate in monthly meetings, serve as ambassadors to the plan and help with public engagement.

A link to the Advisory Board Application can be found at www.canton-mi.org/masterplan.  Please note, all applications MUST be submitted by June 18.

Important Housekeeping Notes....

1. Prior to installing a new deck and/or patio, please contact Dana at BLS (734-838-1520 ext. 529 /dana.e@blsmanagement.com ) to get the number for Joe at Michigan Irrigation for the following reasons:

A. Owners are responsible to contact Joe at Michigan Irrigation, to move sprinklers, when installing a new deck and/or patio; and are responsible for the cost to move the sprinklers.
B.  Building the deck and/or patio without Joe's inspection of sprinkler location will cause owners more out of pocket money due to the difficulty of moving the sprinklers after the structure is built.
C.  Owners are also responsible for any damage to the sprinkler lines and heads while the deck is being built.

2.  Owners are responsible for any rerouting and payment of gutter extensions that must be moved, due to the new structure.

3.  Owners are responsible to fix any of the damaged common grounds area surrounding the structure while the deck and/or patio were being installed.

4.  Dumpster in the Driveway?  A modification form is required to have a dumpster in the driveway.  Owners must state why the dumpster is needed; and how long the dumpster will be in the driveway.
